440 First Street NW contains an enclosed Bicycle Storage Room located on the P-1 level at the bottom of the parking garage entrance ramp and is available for Tenants' use only. At this time, the Bike Storage Room is unsecured, however, we are looking to install a Kastle reader at the bike area entrance door.
Please note the following Rules & Regulations with use of the Bicycle Storage Room:
The Bicycle Storage Room will be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The Bicycle Storage Room is for the use of building employees only. Access control will be enabled by the employee's building access card after placing a request with Property Management. Friends, relatives and visitors are not permitted to use this amenity.
All persons using the Bicycle Storage Room agree to use at their own risk. Personal bicycle locks should always be used to secure bikes and any belongings stored in the room as locks are not provided.
Landlord and Property Management take no responsibility for bicycles and possessions left in the Bicycle Storage Room.
Only store bicycles on the rack. Do not block the entrance to the Bicycle Storage Room or position bikes in a manner that will impede others from entering or exiting the area or use of adjacent racks.
Smoking in not permitted in the Bicycle Storage Room.
The Bicycle Storage Room is intended to be used by tenants of the building while they are present at the building. Security is instructed to take inventory of all bikes left in the Bicycle Storage Room overnight. Bicycles left in the Bicycle Storage Room for more than two consecutive nights without prior permission from the Management Office and/or those left overnight on Friday evenings may be subject to removal by building authorized personnel.
Report any suspicious activity, vandalism, or damage to building security immediately.
Bicycle shoes should not be worn in the lobby or elevators as they may damage flooring. They also do not offer the wearer proper traction and can lead to a slip and fall.
The Bicycle Storage Room is for the enjoyment of all 440 First Street tenants and their employees. Please assist us in maintaining this facility's cleanliness, usefulness and security. Please report any problems to the Property Management Office at 202.868.4259.
